We are looking for an experienced Head Kitchen Porter on behalf of our client, a four-star property in Sligo. The ideal candidate will have experience as Head Kitchen Porter in a three or four-star property or similar restaurant.
Reporting to the Executive Chef, the Head Kitchen Porter will have responsibility for a team of 6 Kitchen Porters.
As Head Kitchen Porter, Responsibilities Include:
- Coordinating all Kitchen Porters’ duties to ensure a clean kitchen and timely supply of clean cooking utensils, pots, dishes etc. to the kitchen brigade and asks Executive Chef or Sous Chef for Chef’s assistance if needed for the food production’s uninterrupted service
- To inspect the work of Kitchen Porters, ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of all kitchen equipment, walk-in cold rooms, fridges, freezers etc.
- Stock-taking of equipment and reporting to Executive Chef
- Adhering to all health and safety, sanitation and food safety rules and regulations, reporting any hazards immediately to Executive Chef or Sous Chef
- Attend meetings and training requested by the Executive Chef
- Any other duties as assigned by the Executive Chef
