Action Recruitment are seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join the Finance team of our client, a 4-star hotel in Limerick.  The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to 2 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably within the hospitality industry and demonstrate hospitality business/industry awareness.  You must be standards driven and detail orientated and be able to plan ahead and organise workload to meet deadlines.

You must be able to multi-task and be used to working in a fast-paced environment.  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.  Excellent English, both written and verbal is required.  You must also have very good IT skills.  Experience in Micros is an advantage.

Main Responsibilities Include:

  • Purchase order and delivery note reconciliation, liaising with suppliers regarding invoices and reporting outcomes to the Financial Controller
  • To liaise with the Financial Controller with regards to administration and the prompt payment of invoices
  • Preparation of monthly accrual schedule
  • Ensuring accounts are maintained and reconciled
  • Ensuring purchase ledger month end closure procedures are adhered to
  • Dealing with supplier queries in a friendly and efficient manner
