Action Recruitment are seeking an experienced Senior Hotel Accountant/ Assistant Financial Controller on behalf of our client, a 4-star hotel in Limerick.  The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years’ experience as Assistant Financial Controller or Senior Accountant within the hospitality industry.

Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, the successful candidate will be responsible for the day to day running of the Finance department, along with the Financial Controller.  Strong IT skills, with experience of Opera, Micros, TAS etc. would be an advantage.

Main Responsibilities Include:

  • Overseeing the processing of payroll, debtors, accounts payable, cash and income audit
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Weekly payroll and payroll forecasts
  • Preparation of weekly revenue forecasts
  • Preparation of monthly pay files to creditors
  • Preparation of month end accounts
  • Assisting with external auditors
  • Preparation of VAT and P30 returns, etc.
  • Any other duties as assigned
