Action Recruitment are searching for a dynamic Head Chef for a client.

This role is perfect for a Head Chef looking for a new role or a Sous Chef looking to take the next step.


Job Summary

The Head Chef will continue to the build the reputation of the hotel by managing the kitchen and leading the team to produce quality dishes, enhancing the dining experience.

Role and Responsibilities

The Head Chef will be responsible for improving the reputation of the hotel via the continued production of a superior food items. The Head Chef will build upon the existing team and support them in their career development. The Head Chef will be responsible for the following;

  • Leading the kitchen brigade.
  • Development of the team members.
  • Creation of menus that meet and exceed the expectation of the customers.
  • Ensure that any issues that may arise in the kitchen are dealt with promptly and in a professional manor.
  • Develop relationships with contractors and suppliers.
  • Managing the costing of all food items and ensure they are within budgets.
  • Manage and reduce all food waste.
  • Work between managing the operations and the administrative aspects of the kitchen.
  • Ensure the kitchen team are complying with all security and Health & Safety regulations.
  • Ensure all costs are controlled while maintaining the standards.
  • Maintain a good line of communication with other departments.
  • Creation of roster and ensuring the staffing levels are adequate to cover business demands.
  • Review menus regularly and update as needed
  • Conduct weekly/monthly meetings within the department.


The Candidate

The successful candidate will look to develop the hotel and increase revenue in the F&B departments while increasing standards. Candidates should;

  • have previous experience at a Head Chef or Sous Chef level in a 4/5 – Star property.
  • have excellent leadership skills
  • have the
  • have a creative view on the production of dishes.
  • have excellent communication skills
  • have the ability to multi task
  • have a business approach to managing the kitchen and the team.
