Action Recruitment are looking for an experienced Cost Controller for our client, a five-star property in Leinster.  You must have previous experience in a similar role.  The ideal candidate will have the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, manage large quantities of stock in a number of locations and take responsibility and ownership of tasks.  You must also have strong skills in MS Excel and be able to work as part of a team and on your own initiative.

  • Reporting to the Finance Director/Accountant and working with two Stores Persons, the main duties include:
  • To effectively control costs incurred by the property through expenditure
  • To assist in setting par stocks, monitoring through GP% and other KPI’s
  • To control stock levels, ensuring correct stock rotation and usage, while minimising wastage and costs
  • To assist with monthly and quarterly stock taking procedures across all departments
  • To ensure documentation of all deliveries received is accurate and promptly given to the accounts department
  • To minimise costs while ensuring quality of purchases/supplies
  • To liaise with all heads of department and suppliers in a professional manner
  • Any other duties as assigned
